Leaving Portland Mar 15
There is a reason for the topic in this current newsletter. I have lived in Oregon for 6 years and started noticing a pattern of changes in mood, energy and outlook starting in November and lasting until late spring. I have personally found that exercising, spending time with friends, taking Vitamin D3, getting outside to ski and traveling to a sunny place has helped me manage my own Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). This said, I still have decided to move to a location that will be easier for me to manage my SAD and allow me to spend more months of the year doing what I love, riding my bike to the beach and around wine country.
On March 15 I will be leaving Portland to move to Santa Rosa, California. Since I am from California, I have many "old" friends in Sacramento, Bay Area and southern California. My parents are aging and will move with me to Santa Rosa so I can help with making their life easier as they need more help.
I will miss all my new friends, clients and fellow practitioners who I have met and established relationships with during the time I have lived in Portland and since owning my practice that started in June of 2006. If you would like to see me for treatment or for referral to a local practitioner who can treat you with a similar approach in the future, then please contact me on or before March 12, 2009.
I want to express my appreciation for your support and referrals over the past 3 ½ years. Your support allowed me the opportunity to achieve my goal. Thank you!
What will happen to Back In Action PT?
For those of you who saw me at Back In Action PT, your charts will be managed by Therapeutic Associates at 4437 SE 39th Ave. Suite C, Portland, OR 97202; Phone (503) 774-3585.You can gain access to your records or follow-up for treatment at that location. TAI therapists are well trained and have a variety of backgrounds and specialties.
In addition there is a therapist who uses a similar style and approach as I use, and she is trained in the McKenzie Method. She works at Legacy Emanuel hospital in the outpatient physical therapy department. Her name is Kim Hillis, PT. The contact information at her location is as follows: Phone: (503) 413-1500.
